About this file
This document is a Pre-Bid Tour Q&A Amendment for a USFS contract (12363N26Q4179) addressing the East Boundary Integrated Resource Service Contract (IRSC) at Pike National Forest, Pikes Peak Ranger District. The pre-bid tour was conducted on June 30, 2026, with ten participants representing the contracting agency, Air Force Academy, and prospective bidders.
The Q&A addresses six key clarifications relevant to proposal development: fire precautions and control measures are detailed in Sections 26 and 27 of the solicitation; evaluation criteria including timeliness of completion weighting are specified in Section 32; the 25-foot clearance corridor on existing roads applies to the edge of road per Section 19; pruning work applies to both line items one and two as detailed in Appendix A, Section II; timing restrictions for operations in the Adventure Based Learning area are listed in Section 11, with no cadet trainings scheduled during winter months; and equipment transportation on Air Force Academy roads must be coordinated with USAFA, with all protected improvements identified in Section 20. This amendment provides prospective contractors with clarification on critical technical and operational requirements necessary for preparing competitive proposals.
