MDOT hot mix asphalt mix designs for overlays will be acceptable. MDOT 64/22 ½” has been recommended by a contractor, but it could not be verified due to time, so if it is for suitable for 2” overlays, it will be acceptable.

9 It was mentioned that testing will not be required, please clarify.

Initially no, but if the Government considers testing is needed it will modify the contract appropriately.

10 Would you consider an asphalt mastic in place of milling & patching cracks? (There will be no bleed through with mastic)?

Not at this time.
