About this file
This is a Questions and Answers amendment for RFQ# 1232SA26Q0460 concerning quarantine glass replacement and resealing services at a facility in Davie, Florida.
The document addresses six key inquiries regarding the scope of work. The original equipment manufacturer of the glasshouse structural components and glazing system is Super Sky Products (contact: 10301 N Enterprise Dr., Mequon, WI 53092; phone: 262.242.2000; website: https://www.supersky.com), which produced the structure in 2002-03 under Job # 047401 for Melaleuca Research. Resealing work is limited to the outside of the structure only and may be applied over existing sealing without complete removal. The contracting officer confirmed that no additional site visits beyond the single organized visit will be scheduled. Regarding sealant selection, contractors should follow recommendations from either the original manufacturer or replacement panel manufacturer, with preference for products demonstrating durability and longevity under South Florida environmental conditions (temperatures ranging 30-110°F, high humidity, and strong winds). Supporting technical documentation including as-built drawings of the aluminum storefront, construction details, glass specifications, and manufacturer information are provided in Attachments 4 (Drawings), 5 (Specifications), and 6 (Glass Square Footages).
