About this file
This is an Additional Questions and Answers document that provides clarification on technical specifications for the Center Pivot Replacement RFQ (Solicitation Number 1232SA26Q0390) issued by the USDA Agricultural Research Service for a seven-tower center pivot irrigation system to be installed at the Roman L. Hurska U.S. Meat Animal Research Center in Clay County, Nebraska.
The document addresses three key technical questions regarding the Nelson Rotator package and sprinkler configuration. The Government confirmed that pressure regulators should be included with the Nelson Rotator package, that pressure monitoring at the last tower is not required, and that the preferred sprinkler configuration consists of drops around the towers combined with part circle sprinklers on top of the pipe rather than applying water on wheel tracks. These clarifications are binding responses to vendor inquiries and should be incorporated into quotations submitted in response to this small business set-aside solicitation, which anticipates award within 30 to 45 days.
