Statement of Work Summary: Marshfield Parking Lot Repair and Sealcoat
This Statement of Work describes a parking lot rehabilitation project at the USDA-ARS EIDMRU Lab located at 2615 Yellowstone Drive, Marshfield, WI 54449. The project requires replacement of 900 square yards of asphalt parking lot, crack filling and sealcoating of the remaining parking lot in good condition, and parking space striping of the entire lot. The asphalt replacement areas require excavation and removal of existing asphalt and 18 inches of subgrade material, followed by installation of 10 inches of breaker run and 8 inches of compacted base course, then paving with WisDOT spec type MT58-28S asphalt mix compacted to 3.5 inches in two lifts with a tack coat applied prior to the surface course. For areas in good condition, all cracks must be routed and filled, seams between concrete and asphalt routed and filled, and two coats of sealcoat applied using a bio-based product such as BioSealcoat (Aexcel Corp.).
All work must be conducted during normal business hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, with contractors required to notify the USDA technical points of contact (Matt Akins at 715-391-3246 and Joe Hattamer) at least one week before anticipated start. Contractors must provide quotes that comprehensively describe all materials and services, including labor, travel, deliveries, and bid bonding; quotes omitting items deemed necessary per the technical specifications will not be reviewed. Following completion of asphalt replacement and sealcoating, parking areas must be paint striped to match pre-existing patterns, including two handicapped areas in the front lot, using a bio-based striping paint such as BioStripe (Aexcel Corp.). No government property or equipment will be furnished, and no special security requirements apply since all work occurs outside the building.
