About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for federal contract solicitation 1232SA26Q0170.

The document clarifies technical specifications for a safety shower and eyewash station modernization project. Mixing valves must be installed in wall-mounted cabinets at 5'-0" above finished floor, constructed of stainless steel. The existing domestic water piping is copper with varying sizes documented on design drawings. The design intent is to feed two safety showers from a single mixing valve, with the showers in Rooms 17/18 and 19 connected to the same mixing valve, as shown on revised drawing P-101 dated March 6, 2026. Revised drawing P-102 dated March 6, 2026, addresses the long piping run (approximately 70 linear feet) to the eyewash station on the west side. Administrative clarifications indicate that the contractor is responsible for providing worker foot coverings, while the Government will provide temporary restroom facilities during construction.
