The fee applies for the life of the default and covers all services necessary to complete a foreclosure action in the jurisdiction. Any additional excess fees/expenses to be incurred due to required legal actions are claimable with a documented cost breakdown and a written justification that must be provided to USDA, Rural Development for approval prior to incurring the additional fee/expense.
Vendors are encouraged to submit competitive industry pricing. The Government uses "allowable foreclosure attorney fees" published by Fannie Mae as an indicator of price reasonableness. The Government reserves the right to find a vendor unacceptable if their prices are found to be unreasonable.
