1. What is the diameter size of the steel bollards?

ANSWER: 4”

1. Are we to provide compressive strength testing using an approved independent testing company?

ANSWER: Compressive strength testing is required.

1. Can you provide the wage scale with work classifications to be used on this project?

ANSWER: This is one of the attachments in the solicitation on SAM.gov.

1. Can you provide a list of attendees of the site meeting.

ANSWER: A list of attendees is not going to be shared.

1. What height is required for the new pads from existing grade?

ANSWER: 6 inches

1. What is the rise of new 3’ steps for each pad?

ANSWER: 6” ramp

1. What is the required size and attachment method for bollards?

ANSWER: 4” in concrete footing.

1. Any third party break testing required?

ANSWER: Break testing will be required.

1. Will the project require bonding?

ANSWER: If your proposal amount is above $35,000, but less than $150,000 the project will required alternate payment protections, which could include payment bond, An irrevocable letter of credit (ILC), or a tripartite escrow agreement. If your project is above $150,000 then payment and performance bonds will be required. FAR 28.102

1. Will the 6” pads have turndowns around the perimeter? Usually about 8” to 12” wide, and 1.5’ to 2.5’ foot down.

ANSWER: Turndown is required.

1. Are these steel bollards or surface mounted bollards? If steel bollards, would they want a concrete footer with it as well (always the case for steel bollards)?

ANSWER: Steel bollards in concrete footers.
