Solicitation Number: 1224H819R0002 Allegheny National Forest Non-Native Invasive Plant Treatment IDIQ Addendum 8 – Questions and Answers 5/31/2019

1. Question – What type of brush cutting is needed along FR385? Or treatments is it like Beaver meadows?

Answer – The treatment type along FR385 focus is on glossy buckthorn, but there may be other target plants as well. Our construction and maintenance crew brush cut with a boom mower on March 22, 2019 approximately 15 feet in from the road edge, to shorten all woody stems along the road corridor. The glossy buckthorn will re-sprout and be able to be foliar sprayed after July 15, 2019 as it grows quicker than native vegetation. The target plant in the additional 15 from the road edge that was not brush cut will either need to be foliar sprayed if less than 5 feet high or cut-surface treated if greater than 5 feet high. The rate of infestation is less in the area that was not brush cut.

2. Question – Are the bid rates I enter for the 2019 task order say for item 11B going to be used in table 1 or the bid rate in Pricing Year 1 for item 1B?

Answer – The bid rate you enter for the item in table 1 for the task order 2019 is the rate that is going to be used. If we were going to issue another task order for 2019 in a different area, then the bid rate in the Pricing Year 1 table would be used for that.

3. Question – Are there going to be more task orders issued this year?

Answer - No, based on scheduling and personnel resources available this year it is highly unlikely any other task orders will be issued this fiscal year. However, if there is a need that would be discussed with the awardee prior to issuing the task order.
