Date: 14 July 2020
AMENDMENT 2:
QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS:
1. QUESTION: I wanted to clarify that this bid could be submitted to you via email and not hard copy. Also, I didn’t know if you needed the hard copy of the bid bond sent out as well or if a scanned copy of it is acceptable.
RESPONSE: Bids are to be submitted via email only. Hardcopy bids will not be accepted.
Reference Block 10 of the SF1442. Bid bonds must be received via email. Reference changes included in this Amendment 2.
2. QUESTION: The planting schedule specifies bareroot trees and typically bareroot plants arrive when they are still dormant in March. With this location I’d be surprised with a normal winter planting wouldn’t start until May at best. The landscape detail sheet L1.03 also specifies for the first planting date to be between May 1 to June 15 which I’d expect would be modified too as needed (on the later end). Should we assume a B&B ball for the trees…..not bareroot?
RESPONSE: B&B trees may be substituted for Bareroot trees.
3. QUESTION: The planting details on sheet L1.03 calls for “Weed Separator Fabric” but I did not see any listed in the specifications. Can you clarify if you want a weed fabric to be installed and if so what type?
RESPONSE: Polyethylene sheet fiberglass mat landscaping fabric as stated in paragraph 3.08 of Section 32 9300 (Planting) for fabric.
4. QUESTION: Does the customer want visor transmitters? If so, how many transmitters will be needed?
RESPONSE: No.
5. QUESTION: Are there any specs regarding the keypad/intercom (make, model, number of master stations, or number of users).
RESPONSE: See Sheet C8.05 on the Plans and Section 32 3113 in the Specifications for additional information on the security gate control and operation.
6. QUESTION: Does the customer want a siren activated gate module (SAGM), SOS sensor, Opticom system, or other emergency access?
RESPONSE: No.
7. QUESTION: The drawings show the gate's travel going two different ways, what is the actual gate travel from the secure side?
RESPONSE: Employee parking and fleet storage.
8. QUESTION: There’s a note on E1.01 calling out for 15KV cables (detail 2). Are these supplied and installed by us, or by GMP? Terminations by us or GMP?
RESPONSE: See UTILITY & EXCAVATION NOTE 3 on Sheet C1.01:
3. CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COORDINATION, ACQUISITION, AND
INSTALLATION OF PRIMARY ELECTRICAL SERVICE CONDUCTOR AND
EQUIPMENT
IN CONJUNCTION WITH GREEN MOUNTAIN POWER. THIS SHALL INCLUDE
BUT NOT
BE LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING ITEMS.

b. THREE PHASE 15kV PRIMARY CONDUCTOR FROM UTILITY POLE TO
TRANSFORMER
c. TRANSFORMER VAULT
d. POLE RISER
e. UNDERGROUND CONDUIT
f. GMP INSTALLATION AND INSPECTION FEES
9. QUESTION: Is more information available for the security gate control and how it needs to operate?
