About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for Solicitation 1202SC26Q2704 regarding the procurement of Fly Sunscreen, 20x20 with guy ropes (NFES 6131).
The Q&A addresses technical specifications for component materials. Regarding grommets, the #5.5 grommet is defined by its inner diameter per commercial standard, with metal preferred. Contractors may substitute a standard #5 grommet provided it measures equivalent to 5/8" or larger. For the Neobraid chord, there is no specific starting point requirement; placement in every four grommets may be random. The dowel specification is defined as 1" x 4" round dowel with 2 holes spaced 7/6" wide and 2" apart, with acceptance of either wood or hard plastic material as alternatives.
