About this file
This is a Small Business Encouragement (SBE) Subcontractors/Material Suppliers List form used by Hillsborough County, Florida for competitive sealed bid solicitations. The form is required for bidders to document all registered Small Business Enterprise subcontractors and material suppliers they plan to utilize on awarded projects. Bidders must list each SBE firm's business name, scope of work or work item number, and estimated dollar amount. For the Northwest Transfer Station Community Collection Center Floor Upgrades project, the County is soliciting bids from licensed general contractors in Florida for cast-in-place concrete work estimated at $2,243,136.50. Failure to complete the SBE-1 form requirements may result in bid rejection.
The County has established a 5% SBE participation goal for this project. Registered SBE firms furnishing supplies without manufacturing them receive only 50% credit toward the SBE participation goal. Bidders must list all subcontractors and material suppliers on the form, differentiating between registered SBEs and non-SBE firms. All SBEs listed must be registered with Hillsborough County or have reciprocal eligibility with supporting documentation as specified in the solicitation documents. For work order or term contracts, the estimated dollar amount field may remain blank.
