About this file
This is an insurance requirements document for Broward County's Aviation Department related to glass replacement services at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport Terminal 1. The project involves removing and replacing one insulating glass unit at the airport terminal. The certificate holder is Broward County, located at 320 Terminal Drive Suite 200, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33315, with the Risk Management Division overseeing insurance compliance. Vendors must submit their solicitation responses electronically through BPRO by the specified closing date and time, with all questions or clarification requests submitted through BPRO by the designated questions due date. The County will provide a 30-day written notice of cancellation and a 10-day notice for non-payment cancellation.
The insurance requirements mandate comprehensive coverage with differentiated limits for airside and landside operations. General liability coverage must include a minimum of $5,000,000 per occurrence and aggregate for airside work and $2,000,000 for landside work, with identical limits for auto liability. Excess liability or umbrella coverage may supplement minimum requirements. Workers' compensation must meet statutory limits with employer's liability of $1,000,000 per accident. Additional requirements include pollution and environmental liability insurance if hazardous materials testing or investigation occurs, and an installation floater with all-risk completed value coverage at no more than 5% deductible for wind or flood or $10,000 maximum standard deductible. Broward County must be listed as certificate holder and additional insured for all liability coverage except professional liability, with vendor insurance providing primary coverage and the vendor responsible for all deductibles unless otherwise specified in the agreement.
