About this file
This is an Insurance Requirements document for Broward County's Glass Replacement project at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) Terminal 1. The document outlines mandatory insurance coverage requirements that contractors and vendors must maintain throughout the project execution. The scope of work involves the removal and replacement of one insulating glass unit at Terminal 1 of the airport's Aviation Department. Vendors must submit solicitation responses electronically through BPRO and receive a submission receipt; the County will not consider responses submitted through other means. All questions or clarifications must be submitted through BPRO by the specified questions due date, and vendors are strongly encouraged to provide all available documentation at the time of submittal, including optional items, to facilitate timely and comprehensive review.
The insurance requirements specify comprehensive coverage mandates with differentiated liability limits for airside and landside operations. General Liability coverage must include minimum limits of $5,000,000 per occurrence for airside activities and $2,000,000 for landside activities, with corresponding aggregate limits; Auto Liability requirements mirror these amounts. Excess Liability/Umbrella coverage may be used to supplement minimum liability requirements. Workers' Compensation must meet statutory limits with Employer's Liability coverage of $1,000,000 per accident. Pollution/Environmental Liability coverage is required if testing, investigating, or drilling occurs on airport property or if hazardous materials are involved. Broward County must be listed as Certificate Holder and additional insured for liability coverage (except Professional Liability), with 30-day written notice of cancellation required and 10-day notice for non-payment. All vendor insurance must provide primary coverage without requiring County contribution, and the vendor is responsible for all coverage deductibles unless otherwise specified in the agreement.
