About this file

This document is an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by New Mexico State University (NMSU) Purchasing Department for the Pan American Center Performance Stage and Accessories. The bid (Number 2023-ITB-496) was opened on 6/9/2023 and closed on 7/10/2023, with SICO America, Inc. ultimately being awarded the contract for $221,337.00. The procurement includes five primary line items: a performance stage, transport carts, installation services, a two-year warranty, and delivery charges. The bid requires the vendor to provide storage carts for stage decks, supports, guardrails, and skirting, with specific requirements such as stackable design and forklift compatibility. The vendor is also expected to include engineering and supervised installation.

The bid is subject to NMSU's standard terms and conditions, with specific commodity codes covering theatrical equipment, furniture, industrial machinery, and production services. Bidders were required to submit through the Pistol Pete's Bidding System and adhere to strict communication guidelines, including restrictions on contacting university departments outside of the designated buyer. The procurement process emphasized compliance with equal employment opportunity regulations and New Mexico state business certification requirements. Potential bidders were cautioned about technical submission challenges and encouraged to submit bids well in advance of the deadline.
