About this file

This is a Minimum Insurance Requirements document for the Aerial Mosquito Adulticide Application Services contract issued by Broward County's Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division. The document specifies comprehensive insurance coverage requirements that contractors must maintain throughout the contract term and for a minimum of three years following contract completion for claims-made policies.

The insurance requirements include General Liability coverage with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate; Auto Liability with $500,000 bodily injury per person and combined bodily injury and property damage limits; Workers' Compensation at statutory limits; Employers Liability at $500,000 per accident; Pollution Liability/Environmental Impairment Liability at $1,000,000 per claim with a maximum deductible of $10,000; Aircraft Liability at $2,000,000 for bodily injury and property damage; and Professional Liability with a maximum deductible of $100,000. Broward County must be named as additional insured on all liability policies, which shall provide primary coverage without contribution from the County. The contractor must provide 30 days' written notice of cancellation and 10 days' notice for non-payment cancellation. Excess liability or umbrella coverage may be used to supplement minimum requirements, and auto liability coverage may be waived if no driving is required for contract performance.
