About this file

This is a minimum insurance requirements document for the Manatee Awareness Radio Campaign contract administered by Broward County's Natural Resources Division in Florida. The contract requires vendors to maintain comprehensive general liability insurance with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate, along with auto liability coverage of $500,000 combined bodily injury and property damage if driving is involved in service performance. Workers' compensation insurance with statutory limits is required if the vendor performs on-site services, and employers' liability coverage must maintain a minimum of $100,000 per accident. The document specifies that Broward County must be named as an additional insured, that the vendor's insurance shall provide primary coverage without requiring contribution from the County, and that a waiver of subrogation applies in favor of the County.

The insurance certificate holder is designated as Broward County, located at 115 South Andrews Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33301. The County must receive 30 days' written notice of policy cancellation and 10 days' notice for non-payment cancellations. For claims-made policies, vendors must maintain insurance coverage and provide evidence of insurance for a minimum of three years following contract completion. Excess liability or umbrella coverage may be utilized to supplement the minimum liability requirements. Professional liability and pollution/environmental liability coverage are marked as not applicable to this project.
