1. SCOPE OF WORK

The contractor shall provide all equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and services necessary to complete the work as described in this Performance Work Statement (PWS). Work location is at the vendor’s place of business. Transportation will be provided by the awarded contractor. All equipment will be de-painted, cleaned, corrosion will be treated, unit will be primed and repainted.

2. AREA OF WORK

Contractor shall work only on areas of the equipment as described in this statement of work.

3. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Repainting must be accomplished by a certified auto body repair facility. The following aerospace ground equipment has to be repainted. Upon receipt of equipment the contractor will remove reflector tape and markings. Proper coating, cleaning, surface preparation, preservation, pretreatment, and painting requirements will be complied with IAW technical order 35-1-3, 1-1-691, and 1-1-8. Customer will supply these technical orders in PDF. Format.

Equipment will be sandblasted (where needed) or sanded and prepared by the contractor. Each unit will have corrosion treated and original surface contour restored IAW T.O. 1-1-691 and 35- 1-3. Undercarriage will be repainted. All access doors will be painted inside and out. Contractor will remove and reinstall wheel/tire assemblies and other minor components as required to effectively remove/treat corrosion and failed coatings. Existing control panel color scheme must be retained. Mask instruments, machined surfaces, engines, alternator, and electrical components to protect from overspray. A primer of MIL-P-2337J will be applied to a thickness of 2mil. A topcoat , color number 26173, gray polyurethane, will be applied to a 3-5 mil thickness.

Both primer and topcoat will be applied to entire exterior of unit including wheels. Finish will be clear of all blemishes, overspray, and runs.

Contractor will report usage of paint and primer for each unit painted to the quality control evaluator. In the event rework is required, the contractor shall rework at no cost to the government. A customer point of contact will monitor contractor performance.

4. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE

Contractor shall complete all work within a six month period of time.

5. MATERIALS

106th MXS will supply primer MIL-P2337J (yellow pigmented resin base and topcoat MIL-PRF-85285C, Type 1 (gray polyurethane). Vendor will supply parts, supplies, materials, personnel to complete paint removal, corrosion removal, priming and painting job. Contractor will sign Air Force Form 1297 acknowledging receipt of materials. Unused paint and primer will be returned to the 106th MXS.

6. GOVERNMENT WORKING HOURS

Pick-up and delivery hours will be Monday through Friday 0730 -1530 based on Available personnel, with the exception of scheduled off federal holidays.

7. DISPOSAL OF MATERIALS AND CLEANUP

Contractor is responsible to properly dispose of any hazardous waste generated performing contract duties.

8. SECURITY

Contractor will be responsible for equipment and contents while in their care and custody to include theft, vandalism, or any other damage. An Air Force Form 1297 will be signed by the contractor for each individual unit delivered for service. AF FORM 1297 will be relinquished when the unit specified on the receipt is returned
