About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) document for RFP 26-0631-011, a textbook adoption request for an Anatomy and Physiology course, issued by a school district. The RFP seeks a new textbook and related materials for approximately 850 students, focusing on alignment with New York State Science Learning Standards (NYSSLS). The solicitation requires both print and digital samples of proposed materials, which will be requested at a later stage of evaluation. No performance bond is required for this procurement, and bidders must submit an inclusive annual cost for the first year along with a detailed cost proposal.
The district is seeking comprehensive textbook materials that cover all Crosscutting Concepts and Science and Engineering Practices for the Anatomy and Physiology course. Bidders must provide both an online demo account and physical print samples, as an online demo alone will not suffice. The cost submission requires two components: an inclusive annual cost for the first year (a single dollar amount) and a detailed cost proposal with itemized breakdowns. The annual enrollment of approximately 850 students indicates a significant adoption that will impact the district's science curriculum.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
RFP 26-0631-011 ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY TEXTBOOK ADOPTION
Q1. We noticed on page 2 (paragraph 1) of the RFP Specifications document that the response does not require a surety or performance bond. We found additional language on page 11-12 (paragraph 5) of the Terms and Conditions file related to bonds. Could you please confirm that you don’t require a bond with this RFP?”

Q3. The Chemistry program is mentioned under Scope of Work related to the standards alignment and in the Evaluation Criteria related to the standards alignment and assessment options. What does the Chemistry program have to do with the Anatomy & Physiology course?
A3. Both use NYSSLS- New York State Science learning standards- That should have read A&P instead of Chemistry
Q4. What is the annual enrollment in the Anatomy & Physiology course?
A4. Approximately 850 students
Q5. Which specific standards within the New York State Science Learning Standards are applicable to this course? We require this information to provide a correlation.
A5. All of the Crosscutting Concepts and Science and Engineering Practices should be covered in this program.
Q6. Do you require print samples, or do you prefer digital samples?
A6. Yes we require print samples and digital samples. These will be requested at the appropriate stage of evaluation.
Q7. Can the district specify the district size by number of schools, students, and teachers?
How many students are enrolled in the Anatomy & Physiology program?
A7. No can not specify by building but approximately 850 students will be enrolled
Q8. Does the district want physical samples included with this proposal?
A8. Samples will be requested when the evaluation team reaches that stage of review.
Q9. Are print materials/samples required for this bid? If so, can you pls. specify how many and where they should be shipped?
