About this file

This document is a Minimum Insurance Requirements exhibit for Broward County Aviation Department at Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, specifically for the parts, installation, and repair of Won-Door Fireguard systems. The exhibit outlines comprehensive insurance coverage requirements that contractors must maintain, including General Liability coverage of $2 million per occurrence and $3 million aggregate, Auto Liability coverage with differentiated limits of $300,000 for landside operations and $5 million for airside operations, Worker's Compensation at statutory limits, Employer's Liability at $1 million per accident, and Contractor's Professional Liability at $2 million if software is used or licensed professionals are involved in equipment operation or maintenance.

The insurance requirements specify that Broward County must be named as Certificate Holder and endorsed as an additional insured for all liability coverages except Professional Liability. All vendor insurance must provide primary coverage without requiring contribution from the County, and contractors are responsible for all coverage deductibles unless otherwise specified. The vendor must provide 30 days written notice of cancellation (10 days for non-payment), and any self-insured retention must be declared to and approved by the County with proof of financial ability to meet losses. The document includes a maximum deductible of $25,000 for Professional Liability coverage and requires an Extended Reporting Period of 2 years for claims-made Professional Liability policies.
