About this file

This is a minimum insurance requirements document for Broward County, Florida, establishing coverage mandates for a bottled water and water dispenser rental contract. The project encompasses the purchase and on-site delivery of 5-gallon purified water bottles and rental of water dispensers for the Broward County Judiciary Complex, three satellite courthouses, and other agencies as needed. The document outlines comprehensive insurance requirements that contractors must maintain throughout the contract term and for a minimum of three years following completion of work.

The insurance requirements include General Liability coverage with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate; Auto Liability of $500,000 combined bodily injury and property damage (waivable if no driving is required); Excess Liability/Umbrella coverage to supplement minimum requirements; Workers Compensation at statutory limits with Employers Liability of $100,000 per accident; and Pollution/Environmental Liability with a maximum deductible of $10,000. Broward County must be named as an additional insured with primary coverage provisions, and a waiver of subrogation applies in favor of the County. The contractor is responsible for all deductibles. For claims-made policies, evidence of insurance must be maintained and provided for at least three years post-completion. Installation floaters are required if Builders Risk or Property coverage is not carried.
