About this file
This is a Specifications document issued by the City of Yuma's Procurement Division for Request for Bid (RFB-26-182) for a 20-foot enclosed cargo trailer. The project specification establishes minimum standards for a single unit trailer with detailed requirements including a Jasper SE Flat Top Sloped V-Nose model or equivalent from Compass Trailers or an equivalent manufacturer. The specifications emphasize quality construction and performance standards across all trailer components, including a 6-inch by 2-inch steel tube frame, dual 5,200-pound drop spring brake axles, a 2-5/16-inch A-frame coupler, and a 4,000-pound rated ramp door with assist and 16-inch extension. Additional required features include a 48-inch integrated beavertail, ST225/75R15D tires, upgraded black aluminum 6-lug wheels, Victory Red exterior color, screwless 0.030-inch aluminum construction, seamless aluminum roof, 3/4-inch engineered wood or black rubber tread flooring, full LED exterior DOT-compliant lighting, a 7-pin round blade connector, and a breakaway system with battery and switch. Optional upgrades include a 13,500 BTU air conditioning unit with heat strip and a 30-ampere panel box with 25-foot shoreline and motorbase cord. The specifications were issued in August 2023 and reference a 2025 or current year model year for the trailer.
