The project involves applying high-quality, durable pavement markings along an approximately 20-mile stretch of roadway to enhance safety and visibility for motorists.

Scope of Work

The selected contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete the paint striping of Coral Pink Sand Dunes Road. The scope includes, but is not limited to, the following:

1. Road Preparation:

Clean and prepare the road surface to ensure proper adhesion of paint. Remove any existing debris, loose pavement, or faded markings as needed.

2. Paint Striping:

Apply pavement markings in accordance with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) standards.

Provide center line striping (yellow, double solid, or dashed as specified).

Use high-visibility, durable, retroreflective paint suitable for high-traffic and desert conditions.

Ensure markings are applied evenly and meet thickness and width requirements (e.g., 4-inch-wide lines unless otherwise specified).

3. Traffic Control:

Develop and implement a traffic control plan to ensure safety for workers and motorists. Provide all necessary signage, cones, and flaggers to manage traffic flow during work hours. Minimize disruptions to local traffic and access to Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park.

4. Project Length and Timeline:

The project covers approximately 20 miles of roadway.

The project will include the Sand Dunes Road starting at the Utah state line on the South and going to Hwy 89 on the North.
