BACKGROUND
Kaysville City is in Davis County, approximately 23 miles north of Salt Lake City and 16 miles south of Ogden. The City encompasses approximately 11 square miles and serves a population of
32,945.
The Kaysville Fire Department (KFD) currently operates from a single station—Fire Station
61—located at 175 S. Main Street. The station was constructed in 1999 and was designed to serve population concentrations primarily east of Interstate 15.
KFD provides fire suppression, rescue, hazardous materials response, and emergency medical services to Kaysville City and portions of unincorporated Davis County.
The department employs 23 full-time personnel and approximately 20 part-time firefighters.
Daily staffing includes one ambulance, one paramedic squad, and one fire engine, with additional apparatus cross-staffed as needed.
In 2025, KFD responded to 2,326 incidents. Approximately 60% were medical emergencies, with the remaining 40% consisting of fire suppression, rescue, hazardous materials response, false alarms, and mutual aid.
