About this file
This Request for Proposal is issued by the Montgomery County Risk Management Department in Tennessee to procure third-party claims administration services for the county's self-insured on-the-job injury program. The county seeks a qualified and experienced claims administrator capable of managing workers' compensation claims while partnering with the county to improve program outcomes. Additionally, the RFP requests an integrated on-the-job injury reporting system that interfaces with the claims management platform and complies with OSHA reporting requirements. The proposal emphasizes that the selected vendor should function as a collaborative partner rather than a transactional service provider, demonstrating commitment to reducing workplace injuries and managing claims efficiently.
The RFP specifies detailed requirements for claims administration services, reporting capabilities, and system integration, though specific contract term length, renewal options, pricing structures, and response deadlines are not detailed in the summary provided. The county is self-insured for on-the-job injuries, indicating it bears the financial risk internally rather than through traditional insurance carriers. Interested vendors should note that the county prioritizes vendors who understand the nuances of self-insured workers' compensation programs and can demonstrate experience working with similar public sector entities. The procurement seeks a solution that balances cost management with meaningful risk reduction strategies.
