About this file
This is a Request for Information Questionnaire issued by a Florida county government for a Notice of Intent to Designate a Single Source vendor for Fire Alarm Monitoring, Maintenance, and Repair services at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL). The county seeks a contractor to provide comprehensive labor, equipment, materials, transportation, licensed personnel, certifications, tools, supervision, testing, and inspections for annual maintenance inspections, monthly monitoring, fire watch services, and repairs on the airport's fire alarm systems. The required services encompass support for a Notifier-based integrated campus-wide fire alarm and life safety system network, including NOTIFIER Fire Alarm Control Panels, Network Control Annunciators (NCA), Network Web Server (NWS), Embedded Gateway, Banet Gateway, Modbus Gateway, and computer-based Color Graphic User Interfaces (ONYXWorks, FirstVisions, and Network Control Devices) that must operate seamlessly together. The RFI questionnaire requests prospective vendors to confirm their capability to provide these services and maintain current manufacturer warranties.
The current designated single-source vendor is WSA Systems-Boca, LLC (WSA), which is already approved and contracted on numerous ongoing and proposed construction projects at the airport. The county's rationale for the single-source designation is based on the requirement that an authorized Notifier distributor must test, program, certify, and maintain existing warranties, as changing vendors could create liability gaps and warranty coverage impacts if the installing or certifying party is not also maintaining the system. Prospective vendors are invited to submit documentation contesting the single-source designation or demonstrating their ability to provide equivalent services and maintain manufacturer warranties. No specific contract term, pricing, award date, or response deadline information is provided in this questionnaire document.
