About this file
Springville City has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP #2025-16) for a Memorial Park Playground Replacement project located at 200 South 600 East in Springville, Utah. The project involves a complete turn-key playground replacement, with proposals due on Friday, November 14th, 2025 by 5:00 pm. The scope of work requires bidders to assess the existing playground area, design a unique playground accommodating children aged 2-12 years, submit design concepts with a vandalism-resistant approach, and provide a comprehensive cost proposal. The project is scheduled for construction in Spring 2026, with a project award anticipated on Friday, November 21st, 2025.
The estimated project budget is $127,600, and the contractor will be paid in two installments: 50% upon delivery of playground components and 50% upon project acceptance. Proposals will be evaluated by at least three members of Springville City's Parks and Recreation department based on four key criteria: Expertise and Work Quality (20%), Design (35%), Schedule (10%), and Bid (35%). The playground is located adjacent to a skate park with a history of graffiti and vandalism, so the design should prioritize security and appeal to mostly younger children. The contractor will be responsible for removing existing equipment, providing safety fencing, installing new playground equipment with wood chip safety surfacing, and submitting operation and maintenance manuals.
