About this file
This is an E-Verify certification form required by the City of St. George, Utah for contractors and subcontractors bidding on the Lizard Wash Park Construction project. The certification mandates that all contractors and subcontractors certify compliance with federal immigration employment law under 8 USC 1324a, prohibiting the knowing employment of workers without legal authorization. Contractors must require all subcontractors to sign and submit the E-Verify certification prior to beginning work on the project. The City reserves the right to request documentation verifying compliance with applicable state and federal employment laws at any time during contract performance.
Violations of the E-Verify requirements constitute grounds for unilateral contract termination, suspension from future City projects for one year, and contractor liability for all costs associated with termination, including damages and attorney fees. The City requires all contractors and subcontractors to utilize E-Verify to verify employment eligibility of all employees as permitted by law and maintain authorized documentation of E-Verify compliance. Contractors must complete the form by providing company name, address, and unique E-Verification number, with signatures from an authorized company representative. E-Verify registration can be completed at https://www.e-verify.gov/.

In addition, Contractor may be suspended from participating in future projects with the City for a period of one (1) year.
In the event this contract is terminated due to a violation of 8 USC § 1324a by Contractor or a subcontractor of Contractor, Contractor shall be liable for any and all costs associated with such termination, including, but not limited to, any damages incurred by the City as well as attorney fees. For purposes of compliance, the City requires Contractor and subcontractors to use E-Verify to verify the employment eligibility of all employees as allowed by law and the E-Verify procedures.
