About this file

This is a Drug-Free Workplace Certification Form required by the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners for the Veterans Memorial Park Education & Cultural Center Interactive Displays project in Florida. The form mandates that vendors certify compliance with Florida Statute 287.087 by implementing a comprehensive drug-free workplace policy. Vendors must publish statements prohibiting unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensing, possession, or use of controlled substances in the workplace; inform employees about drug abuse dangers and available counseling programs; distribute the policy statement to all employees engaged in providing commodities or contractual services under the bid; notify employees that compliance is a condition of employment and require reporting of drug-related convictions within five days; impose sanctions or require participation in rehabilitation programs for employees convicted of drug violations; and make a good-faith effort to maintain a drug-free workplace. The form requires an authorized representative's signature and date certifying full compliance with all requirements.

This certification document is a mandatory compliance requirement for all bidders on the $800,000 Veterans Memorial Park project. Prospective contractors must complete and submit this form as part of their proposal package to demonstrate their commitment to maintaining drug-free workplace standards as mandated by Florida law. The form serves as a prerequisite qualification for bid consideration and must be executed by an authorized company representative prior to contract award.
