About this file
This document is a Drug-Free Workplace Form associated with a Florida state contract opportunity for the Hillsborough County Engineering & Operations Department. The form is a certification document that requires vendors to comply with Florida Statute 287.087, which mandates specific workplace drug prevention and reporting requirements. The related contract opportunity involves traffic signal cabinets, devices, and services, with an estimated project budget of $4,596,200.00 for furnishing, configuring, installing, and removing traffic signal equipment.
The Drug-Free Workplace Form obligates vendors to implement comprehensive drug-free workplace policies, including publishing employee statements about prohibited controlled substance activities, informing employees about drug abuse dangers and potential penalties, and establishing protocols for reporting criminal convictions related to drug offenses. Vendors must provide written statements to employees, maintain a drug-free workplace, impose sanctions on employees convicted of drug-related offenses, and demonstrate a good faith effort to sustain a drug-free work environment. The form requires an authorized representative's signature certifying full compliance with these workplace drug prevention standards.
