Lake Texoma Breakwater & Anchoring System Repairs
Statement of Work (SOW)
September 2020
Project Description: The work to be performed under this contract and in accordance with these contract documents consists of furnishing all necessary plant, labor, materials, and incidental related work in execution of repair and re-anchoring of breakwater at Sheppard Recreation Annex.
Scope of Work: There are five (5) broken anchor cables most likely due to wind storm damage in August
2020, which has caused the breakwater to come apart into 2 sections. The sections can be bolted back together and welding will also need to be performed. After this, five (5) concrete anchors need to be formed, poured, and dropped to anchor the breakwater into position. The concrete anchor blocks will attach to the breakwater with 5/8” galvanized cable terminating at the existing winches. The breakwater will then need to be re-positioned to provide protection to the marina and fishing house.
Work Description:
1. Set forms and pour five (5) concrete anchor blocks (5,000 lbs each)
2. Weld and bolt breakwater back together
3. Drop anchor blocks attaching 300 feet/each of 5/8” galvanized cable
4. Remove existing cable and re-spool winches with new cable
5. Adjust and position breakwater
