About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details a road repair project for the US Department of Agriculture Forest Service in the Plumas National Forest, California. The project involves installing a Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) Welded Wire Wall along Forest Service Road 23N60 near Mable Creek, addressing damage from significant rainfall and erosion in the North Complex fire scar. Key technical requirements include excavating the repair site, constructing the MSE wall with drainage systems, placing riprap, installing erosion control measures, and reconstructing the road surface.
The project is estimated to start in September 2025 with a 90-calendar day performance period. The total project value is between $500,000 and $1,000,000 and is set aside for small businesses. The work location is in Plumas National Forest, specifically in Township 21N, Range 7E, Section 5. Contractors must possess California road repair licenses, submit various required documentation including bonds, materials approvals, and a safety plan, and adhere to strict work restrictions such as limited work hours and archaeological monitoring requirements. The project requires weekly progress reporting and has specific guidelines for site access, equipment management, and environmental protection.
