About this file
This is a Needs Statement for boxed catered meals required by the Louisiana Army National Guard (LAARNG). The caterer must provide individually packaged, to-go meals delivered to the Hammond, Louisiana facility at 1500 N Industrial Park Road, with meals delivered 30 minutes prior to scheduled mealtime. Service dates span May 29 through June 12, 2026, with lunch quantities ranging from 40 to 292 meals per day; no breakfast or dinner meals are required during this period.
The caterer is responsible for food preparation meeting USDA standards, providing all single-use serviceware and condiments, offering standard beverage selections (carbonated beverages, juices, coffee, tea, milk, and water—no alcohol), maintaining proper food temperatures per Louisiana Health and Safety Code, and ensuring compliance with state and local sanitation requirements with satisfactory or better health inspection ratings. Meals must comply with Army nutritional requirements containing five primary food groups, with no identical meal served within a 72-hour period. The caterer must provide personnel with proper picture identification for facility access, coordinate delivery logistics with the unit point of contact (SFC Christopher Sundo at 504-338-0383), and maintain operational security by not disseminating delivery information, dates, personnel numbers, or other sensitive details. Pricing must be all-inclusive with no gratuities, and the Government reserves the right to cancel or adjust meal quantities up to 72 hours before service with no cost increase if notice is provided within that timeframe. Performance quality levels require 95-100% compliance across food preparation standards, employee professionalism, food supply provision, and sanitation compliance, verified through participant observation and random inspections.
