The 22 MXG requires two types of aircraft de-icing and anti-icing fluids to remove ice from aircraft during icing conditions. The de-icing fluid specified is Glycol 100/0 dilute—Ready to use (100% Glycol and 0% Water) Type I Deicing Fluid (NSN 6850-01-435-6471), which is classified as a War Reserve Materiel (WRM) Program asset with a mandatory minimum inventory of 6,850 gallons. The anti-icing fluid requirement is up to four 240-gallon totes of 100% Type IV anti-icing fluid (NSN 6850-01-449-9473). De-icing fluid must be delivered via tanker truck and transferred directly into the pre-existing in-ground storage tank located at Building 1460 equipped with a 4" 633T adapter; alternative delivery methods are not acceptable. Anti-icing fluid totes should be delivered by flatbed truck to McConnell AFB, where base personnel will provide escort and forklift unloading services. The contractor must have the capability to access McConnell Air Force Base and must deliver all products within seven calendar days after receipt of order (ARO).
