About this file
This is a Domestic Partnership Act Certification form required by Broward County, Florida for vendors submitting bids on the Locksmith Services for FLL contract with the Aviation Department at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. The form must be completed and returned with the vendor's submittal, with specific deadlines depending on the certification category. For contracts exceeding $100,000, vendors must either demonstrate current compliance with the Domestic Partnership Act, commit to compliance at the time of contract award, or indicate non-compliance. Failure to submit the completed form by the stated timeframe may render the vendor nonresponsive to the solicitation or ineligible for the Domestic Partnership tiebreaker provision, if applicable.
The Domestic Partnership Act (Broward County Code Sections 16-150 through 16-165) requires vendors to provide benefits to registered domestic partners of employees on the same basis as spousal benefits, subject to specific exemptions. Vendors may qualify for exemptions if they employ fewer than five employees, do not provide spousal benefits, operate as governmental entities or non-profit organizations, are religious organizations, provide cash equivalents of benefits, or face conflicts with federal or state law or grant conditions. The form requires vendor certification through signature, with options to check one compliance status and, if applicable, one exemption category. The form was last updated on September 9, 2024.
