About this file

This is a Certification Letter issued by the Aging and Long Term Services Department (ALTSD) of New Mexico for a Capital Outlay Application program designed to provide funding to senior centers. The program supports the acquisition of capital equipment including meal preparation equipment for congregate dining, health and fitness and wellness equipment, senior center furnishings such as tables and chairs, and recreation and activity equipment including billiard tables and game tables that support senior center programming. Eligible requests are limited to capitalizable equipment—assets of long-term character that will be owned and retained by the grantee organization.

The fiscal agent administering the project must certify its financial ability and willingness to manage the reimbursement-based funding process, including paying allowable project costs before reimbursement is received, complying with applicable procurement and fiscal requirements, submitting complete reimbursement requests with supporting documentation, and assuming full responsibility for the amount requested. The certification letter requires completion of fields identifying the senior center facility, application type, project title, amount requested, fiscal agent information, advance-funding source, and authorized representative contact details and signature.
