About this file
This is a Ceramics Kiln Specifications document prepared by the Washington County School District Purchasing Department in Utah for the replacement of a kiln at Hurricane High School. The specifications detail the technical requirements and performance standards for a new ceramics kiln, establishing the baseline expectations for vendors submitting bids in response to the related Invitation for Bid (IFB). The document outlines the functional capabilities, safety features, and operational parameters that the replacement kiln must meet to serve the school district's ceramics program.
The specifications establish detailed technical requirements including kiln type, temperature capabilities, chamber dimensions, control systems, safety features, and installation requirements necessary for the equipment to function effectively in an educational environment. Vendors responding to this IFB must guarantee their pricing for 30 days and provide equipment that meets or exceeds all specified standards. The contract award will be made to the lowest cost responsive and responsible vendor, and the procurement process is governed by the State of Utah Procurement Code (UCA Chapter 63G-6a) and applicable Utah Administrative Rules.
