About this file

This is a Public Contract Boycott Restriction Statement attachment required by the Cache County School District in Utah for vendors seeking to contract with the district to provide goods or services. The statement, revised September 10, 2024, implements compliance requirements under Utah Code 63G-27 (S.B. 97) and applies to all vendor solicitations, including the current Invitation for Bid for asbestos-containing floor tile and mastic removal at North Cache Middle School. Vendors must certify that they are not currently engaged in an "economic boycott" or "boycott of the State of Israel" as defined in the statute and must agree to maintain compliance throughout the contract term if awarded.

The statement prohibits vendors from engaging in boycotts of specified entities and activities without ordinary business purpose, including boycotts of the State of Israel, traditional energy companies, mining or agriculture companies, firearm manufacturers and distributors, companies failing to meet environmental standards beyond state and federal requirements, and companies that do not facilitate access to abortion or sex characteristic surgeries. Vendors must sign and submit the completed attachment with their bid response, providing their company name, printed name, date, and the solicitation name and number. Any vendor that engages in a prohibited boycott during the contract period must immediately notify the Cache County School District in writing.

Public Contract Boycott Restriction Statement

(Revised 09/10/2024)

ATTACHMENT

Public Contract Boycott Restriction Statement

In accordance with Utah Code 63G-27 (S.B. 97) Public Contract Boycott Restrictions, vendors contracting with the Cache County School District to provide any good or service, including supplies, information technology, or construction services, must certify they are not currently engaged in an “economic boycott” nor a “boycott of the State of Israel” as those terms are defined in that Code section. Vendors must also agree not to engage in either boycott for the duration of the contract (if awarded). For example, a vendor may not, without an ordinary business purpose, boycott: the State of Israel;

companies engaged in activities related to traditional energy, mining, or agriculture; companies engaged in the manufacture, distribution, sale, or use of firearms; companies that do not meet environmental standards beyond applicable state and federal laws; or companies that do not facilitate access to abortion or sex characteristic surgeries. If a vendor does engage in such a boycott, it must immediately notify the public entity party to the contract in writing.

We agree to comply with the above statement during the entire contract period.
