About this file

This document is a Frequently Asked Questions guide provided by Halifax Health for vendors using the Bonfire procurement platform to submit bids for the Ophthalmology Practice Equipment solicitation (PROJ-25-160). Halifax Health is seeking qualified suppliers to provide bids for various ophthalmology practice equipment. The Invitation for Bid packet is available on the Halifax Health Procurement Portal beginning December 4, 2025, at 12:00 PM EST. All questions regarding the ITB must be submitted through the procurement portal and received no later than December 15, 2025, at 12:00 PM EST, with responses provided via addendum. Final bids are due electronically via the procurement portal by 2:00 PM EST on December 17, 2025.

The Bonfire platform has specific operational requirements for vendor submissions. Only one individual per firm may finalize and submit a bid, though team members may collaborate on documents outside the platform. Individual vendor accounts are not linked within Bonfire, and each firm must designate a single responsible person per solicitation to prevent duplicate submittals. Vendors experiencing registration issues should first check spam email folders and then contact Bonfire Support through the "Log In/Register" icon or "Help" button on the platform. For pricing sheets, vendors cannot delete lines from the bid template but may delete typed descriptions and should use the "No bid" option for items they are not bidding on. Additional questions can be directed to support@gobonfire.com.

Halifax Health Procurement Tool – Bonfire Questions

If a firm has multiple people in the firm registered in Bonfire, can they all work on the same submittal?

Multiple accounts cannot work on the same vendor submission at the same time. If John at firm A starts the submission, John will need to be the one who finalizes/submits the submission. A Best Practice is to have the team work on the submittal documents outside of Bonfire and select one person to go into Bonfire, submit the Intent to Bid, and proceed with uploading documents and completing the submittal.

Will individual registrations from the same firm be linked to that firm? Will all submittals by the firm be seen in all of the individuals' accounts? No. Bonfire treats each individual account as an individual and does not link them. A best practice will be to determine internally which individual is responsible for each solicitation to prevent the duplication of submittals.

I am having difficulty registering as a vendor on Bonfire or have not received an email account confirmation from Bonfire. Who do I contact?

First, look through your trash, junk, etc. email accounts (sometimes a vendor's network will treat outside emails as junk). Second, reach out for assistance from Bonfire Support by clicking on the "Log In/Register" icon in the upper right corner of the Bonfire screen. You may also submit a question to Bonfire by clicking on the "Help" button at the lower left corner of the screen.

I am having difficulty editing the pricing sheet. I am not able to delete additional lines to the bid template.

You can delete an already typed description. Here is a quick video about it:

If you are not bidding on an item, you should use the 'No bid' option on the left side for that row.

Instructions for adding additional new lines are in the instructions paragraph at the top of the sheet.

If I have other questions, who can I email?

You can email questions to support@gobonfire.com for more clarity.
