About this file
This document is a Technical Specification Sheet (Attachment B) for Invitation for Bid (IFB) 2000004201, detailing precise specifications for various soil and sand materials. The document covers five distinct product categories: sterilized straight sand (Item 1), non-sterilized straight sand for fairways and athletic fields (Item 2), premium topsoil (Item 3), general topsoil (Item 4), and bunker sand (Item 5). Each item has extensive technical requirements, including detailed specifications for particle size, chemical composition, organic matter content, infiltration rates, and purity standards.
The specification sheet provides rigorous technical parameters for each material type, requiring specific testing methodologies such as ASTM standards and Ammonium Acetate test methods. For example, the bunker sand must be tested by an A2LA-accredited laboratory and meet precise criteria for particle size, color, infiltration rate, and penetrometer value. Contractors are instructed to unload all materials in a designated FCPA delivery area, and several materials have brand-specific references like Luck Stone "Premium Top Soil" and U.S. Silica "CEC Sand" with allowances for equivalent products. The document serves as a comprehensive technical guide for precise material procurement with exacting quality control standards.
