About this file

This is a Procurement Portal Instructions document issued by the City of Charlotte, North Carolina, for use in submitting bids and proposals related to state and local contract opportunities, including the CATS Bus Operations MCI OEM Parts solicitation. The document provides comprehensive guidance on how vendors should submit solicitation questions and proposals through the City's Bonfire procurement portal. All questions regarding solicitations must be submitted electronically through the Vendor Discussions section of the respective project page on the portal. Vendors must upload, submit, and finalize all proposal submissions prior to the posted project deadline through the Bonfire platform at https://charlottenc.bonfirehub.com/opportunities. The City recommends allowing at least one week prior to the deadline to begin the uploading process and account for potential delays associated with large document files and internet connection speeds.

The Bonfire procurement portal is compatible with Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox browsers, and requires both Javascript and browser cookies to be enabled for proper functionality. Technical support for portal-related issues is available through Bonfire's help forum at https://vendorsupport.gobonfire.com/hc/en-us, by email at Support@GoBonfire.com, or by telephone at 1-800-354-8010. Vendors new to the Bonfire system can access a five-minute training video on vendor registration and submission procedures through the Bonfire Vendor Support website to facilitate their participation in the procurement process.
