About this file
This document is a Procurement Portal Instructions guide prepared by the City of Charlotte, North Carolina, detailing the procedures for submitting questions and bids related to solicitation opportunities. The City of Charlotte is seeking qualified and experienced contractors to provide comprehensive forestry mulching services for various properties and rights-of-way under the City's jurisdiction. The solicitation aims to establish a contract for vegetation management through mechanical mulching processes that will clear overgrown areas, manage invasive species, reduce fire hazards, improve land accessibility, and maintain ecological balance across City-owned or managed properties. All vendors must submit solicitation questions electronically through the Bonfire Procurement Portal at https://charlottenc.bonfirehub.com via the Vendor Discussions section under the respective project. Submissions must be uploaded, submitted, and finalized prior to the posted due date, with the City recommending that vendors allow sufficient time—ideally one week prior to the deadline—to complete the uploading and finalization process.
The document specifies technical requirements for portal access, including compatibility with Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, or Mozilla Firefox, with Javascript and browser cookies enabled. Vendors experiencing technical difficulties can access Bonfire's help forum at https://vendorsupport.gobonfire.com/hc/en-us, contact the Bonfire support team at Support@GoBonfire.com, or call 1-800-354-8010. The City provides a five-minute training video for vendor registration and submission on the Bonfire support website to assist contractors in navigating the portal. The document does not contain information regarding pricing terms, contract awards, funding sources, or specific response and due dates.
