About this file

This document is a Business Confidentiality Claim Form from Utah, specifically related to a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) concerning a potential spaceport siting assessment and economic impact analysis. The RFI is designed to solicit information, comments, and suggestions from potential suppliers before a potential subsequent solicitation, with the clear understanding that no contract will be awarded through this specific request.

The confidentiality form outlines provisions for protecting sensitive business information under Utah Code Annotated sections, allowing respondents to claim confidentiality for specific types of information such as non-public financial statements, employee contact details, and customer information. The form emphasizes that pricing/cost proposals cannot be classified as confidential and will be considered public information, and that an entire proposal cannot be marked as "PROTECTED" or "CONFIDENTIAL". Respondents must provide specific justification for confidentiality claims, particularly around trade secrets and commercial information that could result in competitive injury if disclosed.
