About this file
This document is a State of California Darfur Contracting Act Certification form related to Public Contract Code Sections 10475-10481, which applies to companies with business activities outside the United States within the previous three years. The form provides two certification options for companies seeking to bid on or submit a proposal for a California state contract: Option #1 requires companies to certify they are not a "scrutinized company" under Public Contract Code 10476, while Option #2 allows scrutinized companies to submit a proposal if they have obtained written permission from the Department of General Services (DGS).
The certification requires companies to provide their vendor name, federal ID number, and an authorized signature affirming their compliance with the state's contracting requirements. Companies with no business activities outside the United States in the past three years are exempt from completing the form. The document outlines the legal requirements for companies to participate in state contracts, emphasizing transparency and adherence to regulations concerning business operations in regions like Darfur. Companies must either prove they are not scrutinized or obtain specific permission from DGS to be eligible to bid on state contracts.
