NN Questions Responses to Questions
1. The requirement states that the lab coats must be lint-free. Can you confirm if these lab coats are intended for use in a clean room environment?
The lab coats are intended for use in a clean room environment.
2. Could you please clarify what is meant by "extraction mats"?
It is about 10x the surface area of standard carpet mats, allowing it to capture and hold more water and dirt. The mats should be dense polypropylene loop-pile fibers.
They should not fray, and they resist crushing.
Vinyl/nitrile backing is non-marking and non-staining.
3. The sizing for the mats is listed as 4x3 and 8x3. Can you provide more details on these dimensions and the specific requirements for these mats?
The mats are standard entrance way mats, if they cross a door threshold, the pile height should be low enough that the door can easily close.
4. How many personnel are employed in the Security and Intelligent Documents Division of the GPO to get a more accurate quote for the uniform services.
Attachment J.1 pricing sheet provides the number of uniform pieces required for this procurement.
5. Where are the extraction mats going to be used for and at what points in the buildings will they be located (generally), These mats are positioned when walking in from the street into the inner lobby’s. They are where you would most likely need to have to wipe outside grime, dirt, mud, rain etc. from your shoes.
6. Will the lab coats be in a sterile environment or just basic over coats.
The lab coats are intended for use in a clean room environment.
7. The blue lab coats - lint free.
Provide more clarification on what kind of lint free lab coats are needed and what for?
The lab coats are intended for use in a clean room environment. The material cannot ball up, fray or tear easily. It is not a typical sterile environment, but it is a very extreme clean room environment.
8. The extraction mats, what kind of mats are they?
See response to Question 2.
9. Do the totals on the Quote Cover Page of the Price spreadsheet represent weekly totals?
The totals on the quote cover page do not represent weekly totals.
10. When I enter values for the Base and subsequent option years, each CLIN on the Quote Cover Page reflects weekly costs. I expected the CLIN totals on this page to represent the overall annual cost for the year, not weekly amounts.
Vendors are to quote for the Base and subsequent option years costs in the unit price column for the Base and subsequent option years. The Cover Page will reflect the costs for the Base and subsequent option years, vendor adds profit and the total will automatically calculate, that will be the proposed total for this effort.
11. Please clarify whether contracting officers should email the Past Performance Questionnaire directly to shamm@gpo.gov, or if vendor should include the completed questionnaires with proposal package.
Contracting officers should email the Past Performance Questionnaire directly to shamm@gpo.gov.
12. Is a separate Past Performance document that describes prior history (such as the attached) required?
Please read SECTION L – INSTRUCTIONS, CONDITIONS, AND NOTICES TO OFFERORS -
Section 3. Technical Proposal (b) Contractor Past Performance Information regarding Past Performance requirements. You can add the past performance prior history to the proposal.
13. Are there part numbers, pictures, or specifications of the required products that you can provide us with?
Under no circumstances are product specifications, pictures, part numbers or any other product details allowed to be disclosed in any manner. All needed information and descriptions are provided in the
RFP.
14. I need to know if the first tab of the spreadsheet contains an aggregation error. Could you please provide clarification?
There should be no errors in the J.1 spreadsheet.
GPO has provided a completed J.1 as a sample to show how it should look once completed with $$ in column F (vendors should only complete column F)
15. The "Small Lockers," Item Number 0010, is listed for the Base Year but is missing for Option Years 1 through 4. Could you please clarify this discrepancy?
The lockers need to be installed only for Base Year only.
No lockers will be installed during Option Year 1 thru 4.
