About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for Request for Quote (RFQ 15-031) issued by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) for SAP Maintenance and Operations services dated March 3, 2016. The RFQ seeks a single vendor to provide SAP maintenance and support services, replacing the current SAP corporation maintenance contract. The work will be performed both onsite and offsite (onshore only, no offshore work permitted). The scope includes support for various SAP modules including ECC, BW, SRM, XI, Solution Manager, NW Portal, GRC, Netweaver gateway, FIORI, ABAO, Basis, and Security.

The current yearly SAP Licensing and Maintenance contract is valued at $1.2 million. The environment consists of 58 CDCR staff and 12 contractors, with BIS having 8,500 licenses. Support requests are split approximately equally among three main functional areas, with about 50 tickets generated per week (3-4 tickets per month to SAP, with 1 priority 1 ticket per month). The contract scope includes ABAP and Basis support for troubleshooting and maintenance. The current SAP implementation is described as a standard module with limited customization. Upcoming upgrades include EHP at the end of March 2016 and GRC implementation in August 2016. MWBE vendors approved by CA State Department of Transportation are eligible to bid as Small Businesses.
