About this file

The document is a comprehensive set of construction specification documents for the McCain Access Road project in Breckenridge, Colorado, prepared by Ware Malcomb on February 21st, 2024. The specifications cover multiple technical sections including site clearing, earthwork, asphalt and concrete paving, water utilities, storm drainage utility piping, and site sanitary sewer work. The project involves general construction, site improvements, and infrastructure development, with detailed requirements for excavation, soil preparation, utility installation, and surface treatments. The specifications provide technical guidance for contractors on materials, installation methods, quality control, and execution standards for various project components.

The specifications are structured to ensure compliance with local standards, including the Town of Breckenridge Road and Bridge Construction Specifications and Breckenridge Water Standards. They outline precise technical requirements for soil management, compaction, drainage, concrete and asphalt placement, and utility connections. Key technical specifications include concrete strength requirements (4,500 psi), asphalt placement temperatures (280-350 degrees F), minimum slope requirements for drainage piping (1 percent), and detailed testing and quality control protocols. The documents emphasize environmental considerations, such as erosion control, waste management, and proper handling of excavated materials, reflecting a comprehensive approach to infrastructure development that balances technical precision with environmental responsibility.
