About this file

The document is a Scope of Work for the Lakeview Cemetery Fence Repair project by the City and County of Broomfield. The project involves comprehensive repair, restoration, and maintenance of existing wrought iron fence panels and posts at Lakeview Cemetery, with special emphasis on preserving the historic entrance gate. The scope includes detailed site inspection, sandblasting, repainting, and structural repairs, which can be conducted either onsite or offsite. Two specific modifications are planned: making two fence posts fully removable for vehicular access and ensuring adjacent fence panels can be securely removed and reattached. The project timeline is integrated with the Lakeview Cemetery Infrastructure (columbariums) project timeline.

The project requires meticulous attention to historical preservation standards, with all repairs and replacements needing approval from the City and County of Broomfield. Site security is a critical component, with temporary fencing required to restrict access during repairs. The work must be conducted in compliance with local codes, safety regulations, and CDPHE requirements, particularly since the site is located near schools and residential areas. Upon completion, a joint inspection will be conducted to confirm all repairs meet project requirements, and maintenance guidelines will be provided to ensure the longevity of the restored fence and historic gate.
