About this file
This is a Request for Bids (RFB) for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Medical Supplies for 2026, issued by the Town of Colonie and involving a cooperative bid with multiple local government entities including Albany County, the City of Albany, the City of Schenectady, the City of Watervliet, the Village of Green Island, and the Town of Guilderland. The bid (JB301) is for medical supplies across multiple categories including wound management, airway management, suction, intubation, immobilization, infection control, patient handling, assessment, and tactical supplies. The bid is scheduled to be opened on November 12, 2025 at 10:00 AM, with a contract term from January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026. Bidders are required to submit an Excel workbook with pricing, a flash drive, printed catalog, samples for specified items, and complete various forms including a non-collusion statement.
The bid requires bidders to provide unit pricing for individual medical supply items, with the town soliciting a percent-off catalog/online price for additional items not specifically listed. Awarded vendors must become an integrated supplier with Operative IQ (EMS Technology Solutions) and hold their contract pricing through the end of 2026, with the potential for price adjustments only in the event of manufacturer cost increases. The town reserves the right to award contracts to multiple bidders, selecting the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for each item. Delivery is expected within five business days of purchase order receipt, and all participating entities will place and pay for their own orders. The town is tax-exempt and will evaluate bids based on total cost, bid completeness, and the bidder's demonstrated capabilities.
