SECTION C - CONTRACT CLAUSES

Coolidge Auditorium Robotic Camera Lifecycle

Statement of Work

C.1 OVERVIEW / BACKGROUND

The Coolidge Auditorium in the Thomas Jefferson Building was constructed in 1925, designed specifically for chamber music. A facility renovation in 1997 introduced standard definition broadcast cameras to the venue. These cameras are currently powered off and have been out of use for more than a decade. The Library is seeking to replace these cameras and their functionality with current technology. At present all cameras – ENG, full-frame cinema, and robotic – in the Multi Media Group (MMG) fleet are manufactured by Sony. This allows for interoperability within the MMG workflow.

For a project completed during calendar year 2024 in the James Madison Building, MMG has installed Sony FR7 Robotic Cameras and control systems. Removal and installation tasks will be conducted by Library staff.
